Travel with us to Darfur
This time we want to introduce you to part of western Sudan , Northern Darfur state. There we visited the capital al Fashir where we looked at the restoration work going on at Sultan Ali Dinar palace, remains of his mosque as represented with a domed minaret, some shots from the market area, females handicraft products, remains of the prison built of mud dates back to Ali Dinar period, and to our surprise a British soldier grave in the middle of the Armed Military Headquarter.
To the north of al Fashir we visited remains of mosques of the 18th century built of burned brick at Azagarfa and Jadid al sail, and Maleet with its famous Wadi (Water running course), and the lodging of the sultan of the Bertie tribe where they honored us by showing their drums .
